The team behind ANG Malta has years of experience in server consolidation solutions. Our research and development projects related to server consolidation and server virtualisation gave us the experience we have to offer you the right solution for your needs!
The technology has moved far from the old one application per server days! In web hosting, we've seen this clearly in the adoption of LAMP servers, used mostly for web hosting and other applications. Now the industry is moving towards virtualisation, where on a single server you can have up to hundreds of 'virtual' servers' running at the same time, each running in it's own, virtual environment on the physical server.
The adoption of server consolidation through virtualisation reduces drastically the expense in a data center, be it small or large. Most of the servers running today are severly under utilised, and through consolidation the resources available will be managed more efficiently.
In a research carried out by Novell, server usage in the enterprise level is between 5% to 40%. The other 95% to 60% are unused. With virtualisation, you will simply stop losing all those resources!
Every day, more and more companies move towards this technology, as computer equipment is expensive and nothing justifies the purchase of any piece of equipment that is not utilised as it must be.
Consolidation helps by improving server availability, management and running expenses of the data center, less complex solutions, immediate recovery and re-stores from backup, fast implementation of new servers and new services, and more! Research has showed that this technology helped to save millions of dollars in data center expenses in the US alone!
Virtualisation is also good in setting up testing platforms, where no harm can be made, and can test under several platforms from a single machine. Also, virtualisation allows the utilisation of legacy applications on modern hardware (for example, many companies still use applications on NT 4 servers, which these can be easily consolidated into virtual servers).
Or what about high availability? Consider the scenario where you have 10 physical servers, each serving different services. If one fails, those particular services running on that server fail. With virtualisation, a system can be set up where you have a set of virtual servers images. The servers would then be set up in a cluster, and together they will access the images. You will have the same services running, however, if one fails, the load is distributed on the other machines automatically.
Ideal also in areas where data availability is crucial. Virtual servers can be backed up full very easily, and in case of any problems, full bare metal restores can be made immediately in a fraction of the time when compared to a normal physical server.

ANG Malta offers several solutions, depending on the customer requirements. Solutions can be based either on open source solutions and proprietory software solutions. Our team will come up with the ideal solution for your business depending on your particular needs. We are not reseller of any company in this sector, we only offer consultancy services. Thus, you can rest assured of an unbiased report regarding the best possible adaption of consolidation for your company.
We are also able to migrate your existing physical servers to a virtual environment without any downtime and avoiding data loss.*
Our team can analyse your current situation, and come up with a proposal for your company as how to manage better your IT resources and the ideal way to move the current servers to virtualisation.
For more information you can either submit the service request form or contact us directly and one of our representatives will be in touch with you shortly!
