ABSTRACT

This paper is written in five sections and examines string and M-theory as well as branes and collisions of branes in order to develop some of the ideas of the writer set out in a previous paper concerning a theoretical cause of the origin of the universe. In that previous paper, the suggestion involved time symmetry with the suggestion that the ‘Big Bang’ was the culmination of a process occurring before it. In this paper, the ‘Big Bang’ is regarded as a ‘Big Brane Bang’.
